The use of precious artist pigments and the high pigment concentration guarantee excellent light fastness and exceptional colour intensity. Modified linseed oils of special quality are used as a binding agent. In order to allow water mixability without affecting the other properties of the oil paint such as drying time, brilliance and malleability, a special process for modification of the oils has been developed, which guarantees a virtually water-free and waterproof (colour) film structure. Therefore, they dry completely like a pure oil paint. The drying time is between 5 and 7 days for all colours. The oil paints contain a small proportion of beeswax, which leads to the buttery consistency and the typical silk sheen. No traditional solvents are used. Thus, Lukas Berlin oil paints are a real alternative for people with solvent allergies and for the school area, as well as for professional painters. The water mixable oil paints can be used for all the well-known techniques of oil painting: "wet-in-wet" painting, glazing, working in layers etc. - there is no difference to the traditional oil paint.
