Modified linseed oils of special quality are used as a binder. In order to allow water mixability, without affecting the other properties of the oil paint, such as drying time, brilliance and solubility, a special process for modifying the oils, which guarantees a practically water-free and water-resistant (colour) film structure. Therefore, they dry completely like a pure oil paint. The drying time is between 5 and 7 days for all colours. The oil paints contain a small proportion of beeswax, which leads to the buttery consistency and the typical silk sheen. No traditional solvents are used. Thus, the Lukas Berlin oil paints are a real alternative for people with solvent allergies and for the school area, as well as for professional painters. The water mixable oil paints can be used for all well-known techniques of oil painting: "wet-in-wet" painting, glazing, working in layers, etc. there is no difference to the traditional oil paint. They can also be mixed with acrylic or gouache paints, as well as airbrush paint. When mixing with plenty of water, watercolour effects are possible.
