- Perfect for sketches, portraits or studies of movements, this pastel also goes well with other techniques such as charcoal or ink.
- The Conté à Paris Squares can be sharpened using a utility knife, but it is often better to file them with sandpaper or a nail file.

These crayons are very soft to apply and manufactured using natural pigments (iron oxides, carbon black, titanium dioxide), clay (kaolin) and a binder (cellulose ether).
